Job Summary
The Associate Director, North America Regional Marketing will lead the Americas regional marketing team and set the strategic direction for the portfolio across North America. This role manages and develops a team responsible for product and marketing strategy, portfolio performance, launch execution, market insights, sales enablement, and cross-functional alignment. The Associate Director partners closely with Sales, Global Marketing, Regulatory, Finance, Operations, Education, Events, Digital/eCommerce, and executive leadership to achieve sales growth, profitability, and portfolio objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management for the North America regional marketing team, including prioritization of work, resource allocation, and development of team capabilities.
- Set the strategic direction for the North America portfolio, ensuring alignment between segment strategies, brand priorities, business objectives, and sales growth/profitability targets.
- Lead the full life cycle management of assigned portfolio segments by guiding portfolio planning, product positioning, pricing strategy, promotional priorities, lifecycle optimization, and performance reviews.
- Oversee development and execution of launch plans for new products, including demand forecasting, pricing recommendations, positioning, rollout strategy, sales training, marketing collateral, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and commercial opportunities; translate insights into actionable marketing strategies and sales enablement plans.
- Serve as a senior cross-functional leader between Sales, Global Marketing, Regulatory, Finance, Operations, Executive Management, Events, Education, Digital Marketing, and eCommerce.
- Ensure consistent execution of key portfolio and segment strategies across the Americas team while creating cohesion between product, brand, education, promotional, and commercial initiatives.
- Guide development of marketing tools, clinician- and patient-facing education materials, digital assets, promotions, advertising, and sales enablement resources that support portfolio growth.
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution strategy for national events, tradeshows, key customer programs, and educational initiatives related to the Dental portfolio.
- Establish metrics, dashboards, or reporting mechanisms to monitor portfolio performance, launch effectiveness, competitive response, and overall marketing program impact.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers, consultants, KOLs, sales leaders, and internal stakeholders to inform portfolio strategy and strengthen market execution.

- Hire, coach, develop, and retain high-performing marketing talent; create development plans and provide regular feedback aligned to business priorities and individual growth.
- Translate business strategy into clear team objectives, priorities, timelines, and accountability measures.

- Represent the team in senior leader discussions and communicate priorities, risks, resourcing needs, and results with clarity and influence.

- Executive-level communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; able to simplify complex information for sales teams, customers, and leadership audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency managing multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and business priorities.
- Ability to provide innovative solutions to market needs and lead the team through increasing levels of responsibility, ambiguity, and change.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education/Experience Requirements
- B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive product management, marketing, commercial, or sales experience; dental, medical device, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of people leadership experience, including direct management of professional-level team members; experience leading managers or cross-functional teams preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing marketing strategies, launch plans, product positioning, pricing recommendations, forecasting, market analysis, and sales enablement materials.
- Experience managing exhibits, tradeshows, national meetings, customer education programs, or large-scale commercial events preferred.
