ABOUT THE ROL
The Global Master Data Analyst will work on ensuring consistency, reliability, and accessibility of data, supporting the creation of data standards and governance across all functions, including manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and commercial operations. In addition, this position will support all the necessary activities to ensure standardization and harmonization across all ERP solutions globally including manufacturing sites and commercial subsidiaries.
MAIN DUTIES:
Execute Data Standards: implement global standards for Master Data definitions, ensuring alignment across all business units and regions. Define consistent naming conventions, codes, and structures for Master Data elements (e.g., materials, customers, vendors, locations).
- Master Data Governance: support the establishment of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency. Create processes for data entry, validation, and ongoing maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements for data management. Assign roles and responsibilities for data quality and oversight within different departments and implement clear ownership structures to ensure accountability for different types of Master Data (e.g., product, supplier, customer data).
- Data Cleansing and Maintenance: ensure Master Data cleaning and validation processes, making sure that existing data is accurate, up-to-date, and properly classified. Put in place mechanisms to identify and eliminate duplicate or incorrect data entries.
- Data Lifecycle Management: participate in the creation, maintenance, and deletion of data through its entire lifecycle to ensure data consistency through lifecycle.
- Analytics Foundations: collaborate and participate with the data analytics team to ensure data is structured and organized in a way that enables advanced analytics, reporting, and insights generation. Participate in the Extraction, Loading and Transformation (ELT) processed with IT to make sure data can be stored in data hubs for further BI development and analytics.
- Automation and System Integration: support and drive the automation of planning and operational processes by ensuring Master Data accuracy and completeness. Partner with IT and operations teams to streamline data integration into automated planning systems (e.g., ERP, MRP, S&OP tools).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: identify data subject matter experts per function, not only in operations but beyond (finance, quality, sales etc), to work with them and ensure accurate and consistent data creation and harmonization across the organization.
- Create and Manage New Items: ensure that all newly created Master Data items (e.g., products, materials, vendors) follow global standards and definitions. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure that new item creation processes are aligned with global naming conventions and data structures. Oversee the process of item creation, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all systems and regions.
- Data Audits: perform regular audits of Master Data to ensure compliance with data governance standards and policies.
- Reporting and Monitoring: develop and deliver reports on the status of Master Data initiatives, data quality metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Coordination across regions: make sure that Master Data created locally is in alignment with the global policies ensuring standardization across all sites and functions.
- Continuous Improvement: develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for Master Data processes, ensuring that they evolve with the company's changing needs and technologies.
Contribute actively to the implementation of the Global ERP program ensuring proper training and documentation of all data migration and conversion processes as well as data standardization and harmonization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Lean-Six Sigma) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in data management, Master Data governance, or related roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data management tools, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Power BI).
- Proven experience working closely with IT, finance, supply chain, operations, and analytics teams to ensure Master Data integrity and alignment.
