Position Summary

The Finance Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations that drive profitable growth and support key business objectives. This role partners closely with commercial and functional leaders to translate business strategies into financial plans, identify opportunities for performance improvement, and deliver actionable insights that enable informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance and decision support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and strategic opportunities.
• Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
• Support leadership in translating business objectives into measurable financial outcomes.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for assigned business areas.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor performance against plans and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Partner with business leaders to ensure financial plans accurately reflect operational strategies and market conditions.

Performance Analysis & Insights

• Analyze monthly financial and operational results to identify key performance drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Deliver meaningful insights that help leaders make data-driven decisions.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance dashboards.
• Present financial results and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner.

Pricing & Commercial Finance Support

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support pricing strategies and commercial decisions.
• Evaluate customer, product, and market profitability.
• Support business case development for new opportunities, investments, and growth initiatives.
• Assess the financial impact of pricing changes and commercial programs.

Risk & Opportunity Management

• Proactively identify emerging business risks and opportunities.
• Quantify potential impacts and recommend mitigation or action plans.
• Partner with stakeholders to monitor execution of improvement initiatives.
• Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Design, develop, and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Improve visibility into business performance through meaningful reporting and data visualization.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable reporting for leadership teams.
• Leverage technology and automation to enhance reporting effectiveness and efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, improve data quality, and strengthen financial controls.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and streamline reporting activities.
• Promote best practices in financial planning, analytics, and performance management.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, business partnering, or related finance roles.
• Experience supporting business leaders in a matrixed or global organization preferred.
• Demonstrated success providing actionable insights that influence business decisions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
• Excellent business acumen and understanding of financial drivers.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems, planning tools, and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
