Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that the data governance standards are adhered to as it relates to change requests, system or data changes and communication of changes to stakeholders for all master data elements managed by Supply Chain.  This includes but is not limited to item master, bill of material, routings, and their associated relationships within the various ZimVie systems.  This also includes the participation, as requested, in continuous process improvement actions related to the data and the systems utilized to manage the data.  This position will continue to be responsible for daily maintenance activities.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process master data requests in compliance with master data standards while adhering to all applicable standard operating procedures.  This includes the verification, creation, and maintenance of master data records in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate directly with team members and requestors from the multiple functional departments and business regions in Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other functional departments.
  • Participate where requested in continuous process improvements initiatives.  Includes the facilitation of the project, testing, training, and providing go-live support for each project.
  • Project participation spans multiple functional areas and business regions.
  • Extract reports to measure global master data performance to resolve master data issues or new master data requirements.
  • Responsible for conducting training (and the training documentation) for new team members and continuous improvement initiatives for existing team members.
  • Participate in meetings that utilize the master data elements listed above.
  • With assistance and direction, create and maintain master data procedure documentation and appropriate work instructions.

Expected Areas of Competence:

  • With limited assistance and direction, must be able to analyze the appropriate corrective action required to resolve complex master data issues or new master data requirements.
  • Interact with the respective business process owners in customer service, operations, product development, quality, marketing, finance & accounting, and various levels of management to ensure compliance to master data standards.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and timely completion of project tasks required.
  • High level of multiple system navigation skills a must.  (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Oracle, Discoverer, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and successfully handle multiple priorities.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required,
  • 3 years of experience in data management, and / or a combination of operational business processes preferred.
  • Experience with one or more ERP system in a manufacturing and/or distribution setting preferred.

Travel Requirement:

 

  • Up to 5%
