Job Summary:
ZimVie Japan is looking for an experienced and driven HR Manager to lead and strengthen our people strategy for approx. 110 HC with mainly commercial focus. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about building high-performing teams, partnering with leadership, and driving HR excellence in a global organization.
Principal Duties and Responsabilities:
- Lead end-to-end HR operations in Japan, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
- Act as a strategic business partner to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business goals and global HR requirements
- Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier candidates in a competitive market
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with local regulations and global standards
- Manage employee engagement, retention, and organizational development initiatives
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination
- Ensure compliance with Japanese labor laws and HR best practices
- Collaborate with regional and global HR teams on cross-border initiatives
- Management of 1 HR team member and, in a dotted-line, the GA staff
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner
- BA, or ideally a Master's degree in Human Resources or similar faculty
- At least 7-10 years of HR experience earned in an international company environment
Expected Areas of Competence:
- Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws and HR practices
- Experience in recruitment and talent management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
- Fluent in Japanese and business-level English
