About the role:
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer plays a critical role in driving Operational Excellence at the Valencia and PBG manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for spearheading initiatives that enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost (SQDPC) performance metrics. By leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics tools, the CI Engineer ensures continuous process optimization, cost reduction, and a sustainable improvement culture across the organization.
This role works cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Finance teams, and acts as a strategic partner to Operations Management to shape Operations strategy identifying improvement opportunities, standardizing global best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and performance excellence.
The candidate must be located in Valencia.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage high-impact continuous improvement projects aligned with SQDPC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost) goals across Global Operations.
- Design and deliver tailored training programs in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to all levels of the organization.
- Develop and maintain a performance management system using advanced tools (e.g., Power BI, databases), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and providing transparency to leadership. Develop and maintain Power BI reports to measure operational processes. Collaborate with business users to define business requirements and standardize data. Provide cross-functional training and support to foster the development and visualization of performance indicators across departments.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by analyzing key performance indicators and supporting cross-departmental strategy alignment.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and cross-functional workshops to generate engagement, ownership, and rapid problem-solving.
- Implement and sustain visual management systems (production boards, KPI panels, 6S standards, tiered management meetings).
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to departments executing local improvement projects, ensuring best-in-class practices.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on project management tools and methodologies, providing training and support across departments.
- Manage PMO Office operations including project governance, standardization of project tools, reporting, and oversight via Smartsheet Control Center.
What you’ll need:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology engineering, Industrial Organization, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or production processes.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid experience in Information Technology tools, including VBA programming, databases, MRP systems and PowerBi.
- Language Skills: High level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Statistical Competence: Demonstrated knowledge and application of statistical methods and tools.
